CEAP FOOD DRIVE - For the Month of March!
March is HERE which means it is time for our Annual CEAP Food Drive!  The competition between the age levels worked SO WELL last year (scroll down to see results) that we are going to do it again this year.  From March 1st - March 28th, you are invited to bring non-perishable food items into the Church and bring them to the Education Wing.  We are splitting our Sunday School kids into 3 Teams (4th-6th Grade, 1st-3rd Grade, and PreK-K) and each team has a barrel!  Our goal this year is to fill all three barrels with food!
UPDATE AFTER WEEK ONE:
Team A (4th-6th Grade): 46 Items
Team B (1st-3rd Grade): 24 Items
Team C (PreK-K): 17 Items

Sunday School is Going Strong!
We have been having a great time so far this year.  Our theme for the year is CALLED: Ordinary People to do Extraordinary Things!
Throughout the bible there are numerous call stories, and this year we are going to touch on a few of them!  We will also be spending some time taking a look at how WE are called, and WHAT we are called to do!  Mixed in with our stories, we will be doing some Faith in Action Activities as well as some special craft days!  If you ever want to be a part of this wonderful and exciting ministry, please don't hesitate to ask!
Below is our schedule for the next few weeks:

March 14th:        Call of the Disciples
March 21st:        Call of the Disciples
March 28th:        Palm Sunday/Easter Crafts

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
* Sunday School Teacher: Teachers are here every week as the constant in their classrooms.  They are the ones that the children will get to know by name, and they are there to build relationships with the children in their class.  Some of our classes already have teachers lined up, but not all of them.  You can also be a part of a team of teachers that rotates throughout the year.  (You must be Child Safety Trained)

* Sunday School Teacher Sub:  If you are interested in being a teacher, but aren't quite ready for the year long commitment, feel free to be put on our Sub list so that if a teacher is gone we can call on you.  (You must be Child Safety Trained)

* Workshop Leader:  Throughout the year we do a rotational modle of Sunday School that involves people coming in, introducing the lesson, and then being an extra person in teh classrooms that are doing that lesson.  We have a variety of areas that our lessons are done out of (listed below) so please feel free to let us know which areas you are comfortable in.

ART   FOOD   SCIENCE   COMPUTER   GAMES   ALL

* FAITH IN ACTION Team:  Throughout the course of the Sunday School Year, we do a variety of Faith in Action projects, (such as decorating quilt squares, Operation Christmas Child, etc) that take a lot of planning, prepping and organization.  If you are interested in being a part of a team that helps with these events, we'd be glad to have you.

* Sunday School Secretary: This could be something that you do every week or something that you share with a team of people.  The secretary comes 10-15 minutes before the service starts to help with any last minute details.  They also help with offering, attendance and any other project prep that we may have.
